The annual conference of the Angel Capital Association provides some of the best content and opportunities for networking with many of the top angels and angel organizations in the country. The theme for the conference is “Angel Investing: From Seed to Harvest.”

The ACA Summit is the largest gathering of angel investors and angel groups in the world. More than 400 accredited investors and leaders in equity investment will gather to share best practices and ideas, discuss the future of six industry verticals, hear the latest ideas on early exits, obtain first ever deal-by-deal data on angel group investment, and network with angel and venture capital peers.

Last year, topics included sidecar funds, assessing start-up CEOs, evolving angel group models, and partnering with angels across the world, among other topics.

Recognition of Entrepreneurs and Investors

• Top ACA portfolio companies will compete for recognition by ACA sponsors, like HP, that are looking for new partners and acquisition opportunities

• Luis Villalobos Award, honoring member portfolio companies for innovation and ingenuity

• Hans Severiens Award, recognizing one person for advancing the field of angel investment

ACA is the trade association of leading angel investment groups in North America. ACA’s mission is to support the growth, financial stability, and investment success of member angel groups. This mission is accomplished by providing professional development, best practices, networking and collaboration opportunities for angel investors who belong to member angel groups. The organization also serves as the public policy voice of the angel community and is focused on advancing policies at the state and federal level that support and promote angel investing. As of January, 2011 ACA has 150 member angel groups, with 6,500 member angels, and 20 affiliate organizations throughout North America.
