Angel Professionalism Fund – Be Part of It ACA will soon start a new program to build even more professionalism among ACA member angels through the $50,000 John Huston Fund for Angel Professionalism. The fund has collected $50K through 67 ACA members, including 55 from the Ohio TechAngel Funds. There is still time to add your participation to the fund, which supports education on exits and board participation, and will also support a US national study on the demographics of angels, why they invest and their opinions on new trends such as crowdfunding. Research shows this rise in the women’s share of the workforce since just the 1980s is responsible for as much as 11 percent of 2012 GDP. While more women sought and found employment in greater numbers, their participation as entrepreneurs was uneven. Fewer women became entrepreneurs, meaning their potential contributions to job creation, innovation, and economic growth were unrealized.”
